So far the AIC is held in two countries: Vietnam and Indonesia.

Participants can submit their proposals in three levels: design, demonstration and upscaling.

The Aquaculture Innovation Challenge searches for bright minds and enables them to realise their ambition by connecting the participants to knowledge, networks, finance and capital. It was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam in 2017 and in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2019.
